The research of our lab involves cell cultures, DNA, RNA and protein analysis. These are all reagents, cell growth media and kits (many of which are trademarked items) that have been used for on-going studies for at least 5 years. These reagents are needed to continue on-going experiment: change in supplies disruptive to experiments. The research is conducted under the supervision of Drs. Torabi-Parizi, Elinoff, Danner, Kovacs and Suffredini. This is basic medical research not associated with a specific protocol but rather they are routine techniques that are used on a daily basis. We must continue to purchase these items from the same company in order to avoid the introduction of new variables into the experimental results and to avoid long and costly delays resulting from retesting of products from other potential suppliers. The continued use of their products will ensure reproducibility and consistency in our data. I was also able to obtain major discounts on the products that we frequently order. I have included the quote on the POTS order under supporting files.
