Questions and Answers listed below:

QUESTIONS:

Question # Question Answer/Response

1. The SOW doesn't provide an exact address of where the signs need to be delivered to.

Can you please provide the exact address?

Sleeping Bear Dunes NL Empire Maintenance 12447 Wisniewski Road Empire, MI 49630

2. Is the pricing just for the signs and delivery or does installation need to be included?

The pricing is for all supplies listed in the Specifications and their delivery. Installation will be performed by the Park.

3. What pricing sheet do you want submitted with the proposal since there are two. Excel or the PDF?

The “Price Schedule” was provided as both an Excel and PDF for the convenience of vendors.

It is acceptable to return either document with your proposal, however only the “Price/ Unit” field should be filled out on the Excel document.

The subtotal and grand total should complete automatically as a formula was entered. Please ensure the subtotal and grand total is accurate before submitting.

4. Some of the double-sided signposts call for having two panels to make the sign double sided. We can do one panel that has graphics printed on both sides. This would reduce the cost of doubling the materials.

Please confirm if this is acceptable?

No – the park would like the design as specified in the Facility Identify Signs doc, page 14.

5. There must have been a revision to the VIS standard, or we just have an old version, because what we have calls for 3x2 x 3/16" wall rectangle tube instead of 3x2 x 1/8" wall which is noted in the documents. Is either acceptable?

The park would like to stick to the specifications in the design created by the NPS-Harpers Ferry Interpretive Design Center.

6. We also have our own extrusion profiles for making double sided frames, so our offerings are constructed slightly different from the details, but still 2" wide. Is this acceptable?

It is acceptable - as long as the size is per design specifications.

7. Are all the displays in-ground with stabilizer fins? Are just the fins required or the 6x6 x 1/4" plate as well?

Yes, all signs are in ground mounted with stabilizer fins. The park would like the 6”x6” plate on each frame also.

8. Since our normal process is to power coat instead of paint our units, can we powder coat the entire posts w/ stabilizer fins or must they be masked off as shown on page 18? OR must they be painted?

Can be painted or powder coated as long as the color is per specifications.
