1.

Required Submissions section does not include Section K, Offeror’s Representations and Certifications. Please advise if the Offeror’s Representations and Certifications are required at time of proposal submission.

This is not required for this project at this magnitude. The Reps and Certs will be checked at the time of quote submission, along with all other SAM information to ensure the contractor has an “active” status and no exclusions

2.

A bid guarantee is marked as required;

however, there are no instructions for its submission with the quote. Please advise if an electronic copy is required with the quote submission and/or if the original must be mailed and available to Contracting at the time of the electronic quote submission.

Electronic submission of the bid bond/guarantee will need to be provided with the contractor’s electronic quote package at the time of quote submission – no original is needed to be sent to the contracting office – but the contractor should be prepared to provide the original upon request of the CO

Project Specifications

– Visitor Center and Bldg 70, page 18, Section 5.2 A.7 On the Glass Fiber- Reinforced Asphalt Shingles, the color and blends are to be selected by the COR from manufacturer’s full range. Colors impact costs/pricing.

Should the Contractor price the most cost advantageous color and note this selection as an exception in our pricing in the event the COR would choose a color which costs more than was included in our quote?

The color of the shingles is to match the existing color on the visitor center. The shape is to match as well. Here is a photo. Please note that this photo was taken on a cloudy day and the color is not represented exactly.

This is a firm fixed price contract – the contractor is to quote their proposal in accordance with the information outlined in the project specifications, which includes pictures of the color of shingle and various type, along with manufacturer’s. Contractor is to quote their proposal accordingly and account for all cost associations for this type of shingle and color from the manufacturer they plan on using as the basis for their quote.

Project Specifications – Visitor Center and Bldg 70, page 22, Section 5.7 B.2.c.

Same as above on color selection and price deltas.

Contractor is to match existing.

Contractor is to quote their proposal accordingly and account for all cost associations for this type of shingle

8.

SF1442, Section 11, Specifications

There are certain roof shingles, metal colors which have lengthening lead times. If the Offeror chooses to bid the most cost advantageous color option and lead times are impacted, should the offeror incorporate that lead time into its cover letter as an assumption that it will be selected and exclusion to the PoP if impacted?

The period of performance for this project has been extended from 90 days after issuance of Notice to Proceed – TO – 270 days after issuance of Notice to Proceed.

9.

Project Specifications – Visitor Center and Maintenance Facility, page 4, Section B.1.g and Section B.2.f tables

Please confirm or deny if the roof square footage listed in the table are approximate roof deck square footage and not building square footage.

The Visitor Center is listed as 6,800 square feet and the Maintenance Building is 4,000 square feet.

Please confirm or deny if the roof square footage listed in table are approximate roof deck square footage and not building square footage.

Building 60 is listed as 2,300 square feet and Building 90 is listed as 2,100 square feet.
