PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE:
Project Title: Fire Suppression Design and Install for Housing Quarters #51 at Mount Rushmore National Memorial
Project Description: This project is in the government housing area of Mt Rushmore National Memorial. The building is referred to as Residence 51. This project will install a new fire suppression piping through the interior areas of the housing unit and make the connections to the existing water supply inside the house near the existing water heater. The new fire suppression will not require glycol-based equipment. All exposed fire suppression piping and heads in interior areas will be covered in cove molding (Decro-Shield System or equal). Fire suppression system must meet NFPA 13D and provide proper coverage to interior areas.

TYPE OF CONTRACT: Firm Fixed Price. Construction Wage Rate Requirements for Pennington County will apply.
LOCATION: Mount Rushmore National Memorial Housing Area, 24285 Doane Mountain Road, Keystone, SD, 57751
MAGNITUDE OF CONSTRUCTION: Between $25,000 and $100,000.
NAICS CODE: The associated NAICS is 238220 Plumbing, Heating, and Air Condition Contractors. The small business size standard $19 Million
NOTICE OF SET ASIDE: This project is set-aside for 100% Total Small Business.
SCHEDULE: The government anticipates that work will be completed in 90 days. The final performance start date is contingent on issuance of Notice to Proceed.
SITE VISIT: A site visit date, time, and meeting location will be announced in the solicitation. Offerors are highly encouraged to attend the scheduled site visit to inspect the site and to ensure they fully understand the requirement and conditions that may affect the cost of the project, specifications, and performance.
The government intends to issue a formal Solicitation with construction specifications and/or drawings on or about June 28, 2024. If this date is delayed, the solicitation will follow as soon as possible. This is a PRELIMINARY NOTICE of a solicitation that will follow. The responses will be due approximately 30 days after the RFQ issue date, on/about July 29, 2024. The specific date and time will be announced in the solicitation that will follow this notice.
The RFQ package, including applicable attachments will be posted http://www.sam.gov. No hardcopies or email copies of the solicitation will be provided.
In order to be awarded a contract, an offeror must have a SAM UEI number. Also, the offeror must be registered and active in the System for Award Management (SAM), website at http://www.sam.gov, and have completed their Online Representations and Certifications at the time of the solicitation close date once the solicitation is posted.
