The information received will be used within the Department of the Interior, National Park Service (NPS) to facilitate the decision-making process and will not be disclosed outside of the agency. The purpose of this Sources Sought is to gain knowledge of interested businesses that have the capability and relevant experience in cutting down dead, diseased, and hazardous trees, removal of all trees, woody vegetation, and shrubs. A determination by the Government to compete this requirement as a set-aside based upon responses to the notice and other market research is solely within the discretion of the Government. The information provided in the RFI is subject to change and is not binding on the Government. The release of this RFI should not be construed as a commitment or as an authorization to incur cost for which reimbursement would be required or sought. All submissions will become Government property and will not be returned. The NPS does not intend to pay for any information provided under this notice.

8(a) SMALL BUSINESSES, CERTIFIED HUBZONE SMALL BUSINESSES, CERTIFIED SERVICE-DISABLED

VETERAN-OWNED SMALL BUSINESS, INDIAN SMALL BUSINESS ECONOMIC ENTERPRISES and WOMAN-

Project Location: The project is located at the Blue Ridge Parkway (BLRI) in Virginia, and North Carolina.

The anticipated firm fixed price construction contract is expected to have a magnitude between $100,000-350,00.00.

A complete Statement of Work will be included with the Solicitation. The solicitation is anticipated to be issued on SAM.gov in Mid-MAY. All questions will be answered in writing via amendments to the

Solicitation.

Description of requirement:

The Work consists of: consist of cutting hazardous tree along the BLRI at four designated locations in North Carolina, and Virginia, (two locations in each state).

• Cut designated dead and diseased tree along the BLRI. The proposed diameter at breast height (DBH) will range.

• From 4-inch DBH to 30-inch DBH for bidding purposes. The number of identified trees will be provided. The trees to be cut will be left at the prescribed depth and proper height and lay flat and parallel to ground.

• Compliance with safety, traffic & environmental standards per federal, state, NPS regulations and as required within the PWS.

• Protection of natural resources and protected plant and animal species.
