The 0.25” aluminum sign panel will have a to be painted to match color with a matte �nish.
Panel edges should be slightly eased to allow for paint adhesion and retention.
Panel must be cleaned, primed, and painted according to paint manufacturer speci�cations. Panel to be painted to match color with a semi gloss �nish.
The 0.125” aluminum sign panel with threaded rod or stud welded to post to be mounted over text on pink granite.
Etched aluminum will be two toned gray on gray to withstand outdoor environment.
Panel should not fade or crack and be rust resistant.

Cut arrowhead silhouette in aluminum and screen print graphics according to supplied arrowhead artwork.
Arrowhead to match colors with a baked-on enamel satin �nish.
Arrowhead should not stand o� panel and mounted �at to panel.
ArrowheadIntaglio Painted Aluminum Sign Panel
0.125” Thickness aluminum panel with 3/8” radius corners. All cut edges ground smooth. Edges slightly eased to allow for best paint adhesion and to reduce edge chipping.
Contractor to propose mounting hardware. Hardware must not pass through panel face or be visible when the sign is viewed from the front.
Contractor to determine if stabilizer bar welded to the panel back are required for panel stability.
Aluminum panel cleaned, primed, and painted per manufacturer’s specifications.
Paint and primer to be applied by sprayer, not rolled or brushed on.
Intaglio process graphics - computer-cut vinyl masking and paint layering to achieve exact panel layout as shown in panel artwork.
After the paint is fully dried, all vinyl and masks shall be peeled and the panel shall be sprayed with a final UV-resistant satin clear coat and anti-graffiti polyurethane coating.
High resolution, non-reflective, outdoor grade vinyl decal arrowhead applied after final polyurethane coating.

Hardware through back, top, and bottom acceptable. Must be counter-sunk. Hardware must not pass through panel front.
Sign box should �t around and attach to exisiting posts.
Width TBD by contractor during prefabrication site visit.
Contractor to design mounting structure to attach sign to exisiting posts and base. C-channel mounting structure as shown (right) is sample only.
Shop drawings must clearly show and explain the mounting structure proposed by the contractor.
Design and Construction Requirements Front and back panels must be removable for eventual replacement -must not be welded to posts.
Panel edges left, right, and top must be �ush (no gap). The panel should create an appearance of a “box” that slides over and attaches to the exisiting posts.
Hardware cannot pass through the panel front. Hardware may be exposed top, and back, but must be countersunk �ush with the panel surface and painted to match the panel.
A back panel should encase the sign so internal frame structureare not visible. Panel back must be able to be removed to be able to replace panels.
All welds ground smooth and all components must be cleaned, primed, and painted according to paint manufacturer speci�cations.
Posts, baseplates, and decorative brace painted color 1, semi-gloss �nish.
All panel mounting components painted color 2, matte �nish.
