NACE Commingle Recycle Ques ons and Answers
1) We would like to know if this is a brand-new contract OR if there is (was) an incumbent performing these services, who held/currently holds the contract for this work? If not brand new, could you please provide the current / previous contract number? Additionally, we would appreciate knowing the award amount for the previous contract.
A: The previous contract # 140P3018P0146 expired September 2023, (by GOODE TRASH REMOVAL, INC., total award amount was approximately $119K). There is no one currently performing these services.
2) Is the scope of work for this solicitation the same as the previous or are there additions/ deletions/ changes?
A: There are many changes in scope from previous contract, please follow current documents for requirements to this solicitation.
3) The response due date is 6/11, however the start date shows as 6/10/24. What is the actual start date?
A: Contract start date will be shortly after award within a reasonable time.
4) Per scope of work bulk waste as described will be mixed together and will need to go to landfill and cannot be recycled unless separated. Is this the understanding of the government?
A: Yes, this is the understanding of the Government.
5) What type/size tires will be recycled? Are they empty or do they have rims.
A: The sizes varies/mixed. Some tires are with rims, some are not. Requiring all tires to be hauled collectively.
6) Due to the fact open tops are swapped empty one brought out and full one taken (most cost effective) labeling the dumpster is not feasible. Will signage in the area or in front of the container work?
A: All Drop/Pick-up areas are labeled. Note: All containers need to be dropped in the exiting stationed spot to avoid blocking drive areas, etc.
