About this file
This document is an amendment to a solicitation for exhibit fabrication services for Fort Union National Monument. The National Park Service is seeking a contractor to fabricate and install new exhibits at the Fort Union National Monument in North Dakota. The amendment responds to questions received regarding the cost estimate form and scope of work. For the cost estimate, offerors may replace any unrelated line items with information applicable to the project. Additionally, the amendment clarifies that the contractor is not responsible for purchasing or installing the gallery lighting systems, as those will be covered under a separate renovation contract, but the selected offeror will be responsible for positioning track light heads during installation. The closing date for responses was not provided.

Solicitation Number 140P2121R0014 Amendment Number 0001
Description of Amendment Fort Union National Monument
The purpose of this amendment is to respond to questions received by the date and time specified in Solicitation Number 140P2121R0014, Exhibit Fabrication for Fort Union National Monument.
1. The line items in the cost estimate form look to be from a different project. Can you provide a new cost estimate form or should the contractor delete the line items and fill in the information as applicable?
RESPONSE: The Cost Estimate Form is used as a template for all exhibit fabrication projects. It is acceptable to replace any unrelated line items with information for the FOUN project.
2. There is a bit of contradicting information in the bid documents regarding the gallery and track lighting. Can you confirm whether or not the gallery and track lighting is in the contractor's scope of work?
RESPONSE: The Exhibit Fabrication Contractor is not responsible for purchasing / installing the gallery house lighting and exhibit track lighting. These systems will be covered by the building renovation contract. All overhead gallery lighting systems will be installed and powered ahead of the exhibit installation. The Exhibit Fabrication Contractor will be responsible for positioning / aiming track light heads during the exhibit installation.
