Note states that all absorption trenches are ‘ typical 100 feet’ This is not correct. Actually, there are none that are 100 feet long. Using the provided coordinates the longest one is 96.8 feet long and that is from the center of the monster box. The majority of the trenches are either not perpendicular or at some odd angle to the main run. To maintain the 9 feet separation the fittings used will all need to be the same, making most of the trenches shorter. Please provide a new drawing or verify that less than 100' is the typical.
Absorption trenches are aligned with existing contour. Trenches are installed with min.9'c‐c spacing. All absorption trenches are 100 LF, constructed in accordance with VDH regulations

What does DWV stand for?
Drain Waste, and Vent. The Adapter transitions SDR 35 to Sch 40 PVC.
40 7/25/2022 84/132 Air Release structure, plans fail to dimension the limits of the #57 rock on a NTS detail. Please provide. Provide 12‐inch extension.
41 7/25/2022 10/132 Call out #10 states to remove concrete sidewalk but the area referred to is indicating it is asphalt pavement (near entrance). Please clarify.
Based on a review of the existing conditions, the existing sanitary sewer to be removed lies with the existing concrete pad.
42 7/25/2022 10/132 Note 3: This note says to removal all sanitary sewer lines except as noted, we see one sewer reach is to be abandoned. Remove all others? Does this include the sewer line that runs under the porch?
We recommend the contractor to abandon the sewer line noted under the porch and remove all other areas.
43 7/25/2022 10/132 In the corner of the gravel parking lot near the Manager’s Resident there are several x’s for removal but none of the existing facilities are labeled. Please provide details of what is to be removed in this area.
The utilities in question can be found on the existing conditions plan (Sheet C‐101, 7 of 132).
44 7/25/2022 7/132 In the far upper right corner of the drawing you indicate two cleanouts but there is no pipe shown attached to these cleanouts. Please clarify.
There are numerous sanitary sewer cleanouts shown on the existing conditions plan that were surveyed. These cleanouts are providing sewer service via laterals for the various trailer sites. We don't have design plans for the laterals so the actual laterals are not identified on the plans.
45 7/25/2022 10/132 & 24/132 On drawing 10 the existing sanitary sewer from MH #3 to MH #10 shows to remain in place. On drawing 24 the same line shows a new
8” sewer. Which is correct?
The contractor is instructed to remove the existing sanitary sewer between Manholes #3 and #10.
46 7/25/2022 10/132 & 24/132 On drawing 10, Keynote #8 says to remove the MH leading into the Pump station but on drawing 24 it shows no new MH. Please clarify.
The manhole is to be replaced with new structure #F1 as shown on the profiles and structure table.
47 7/25/2022 24/132 The new sewer line between the MH leading into the Pump Station and MH 14 does not have a size called out. Please provide. The size of the line is 8" as shown on the profile.
48 7/25/2022 24/132 The 2 yard hydrants that are located in the Manager’s parking lot (1” per drawing) is coming off a ¾” mainline. Is this correct? It will drastically reduce the pressure.
The contractor is instructed to install 1 ‐1/2" PVC through the second hydrant connection after which the size of the PVC shall remain 3/4" diameter as shown on the plans.
49 7/25/2022 54/132 Detail 4: There are several sewer cleanouts that are not next to the mainline sewer (up to 8 feet). Please provide a detail that will take these distances into consideration.
The detail will be revised in accordance with Comment #52 to reflect varying sizes of the main sewer line. All laterals shall be 4" diamter and the contractor will be responsible for installing the lateral with a minimum slope of
2% from the cleanout to the main connection.

50 7/25/2022 24/132 The connection between the 1” pipe for the yard hydrant and the 4” main line should be a 4” x 1” tee or a 4” x 1” saddle? Yard hydrant connections for the individual trailer sites shall be with a corporation valve and saddle connection.
51 7/25/2022 8/132 What size is the existing sewer between MH #10 & MH #11? Existing sewer line is 8" diameter.
52 7/25/2022 52/132 Detail 4: There are 7 different connections to 8” main line pipe, not only 4 “ & 6”, please provide details for each.
Detail #4 will be revised to properly reflect a standard 4" lateral connection to either a 8" , 6" , or 4" sewer main.
All laterals will be installed with the cleanout configuration shown in the detail and lateral connection to main as shown in the detail. All laterals will maintain at least 2% slope from the cleanout to the connection at the main.
53 7/25/2022 3/132
Temporary facilities are unclear as to location, power supply, and ownership. Is there a desired location for a trailer? What are the requirements, if any, for client trailers? Is there a power source on site for temporary facilities. If so, is the contractor responsible to carry the cost for the power? If not, is the contractor to assume generator power for temporary facilities?
During the work at the RV Campground, the contractor shall setup a field office at the RV campground. Full utilities are available at various sites but these utilities may be temporarily interrupted due to the proposed work at the RV Camp. The contractor shall coordinate with the NPS before connecting to any utilities in the RV
Campground. Any relocation of the field office from the original approved location and utilities will also require
NPS approval.
Once the RV camp work is complete, the NPS and contractor will coordinate a location on the south side of the park for a field office. There are several possible locations with varying degrees of utility service, but at a minimum, each location will have access to power.
The Contractor will be responsible for all costs associated with any temporary utilities including power, water, sewer, and communications. Contractor will be responsible for coordinating all temporary utilities connections with NPS and/or utility provider.
