DESCRIPTION OF AMENDMENT

The following are the questions and answers in response to the Solicitation Number 140P1120Q0045, Sign Fabrication for Channel Islands National Park. The government response is provided in bold.

1. Question: There appears to be variation in the cap height on the posts. The post length equals

62” plus sign height. Is it possible to have a consistent cap height? If so, what would you like the cap height to be? See below for reference?

· 52 line items (not total items) call out 1” cap

· 2 call out 1.25”

· 1 calls out 1.625”

· 1 calls out 1.75”

· 3 call out 2”

· 5 are missing a call out Government Response: The government does not have a consistent cap height. The cap heights specified on the drawings must be provided. The government reviewed the drawings but could not find the missing call outs. Drawings are to scale; therefore the cap height can be determined wherever it is not expressly called out by scaling the drawing to full size. The *minimum* post length equals 62” plus sign height. The actual post length shall be determined/engineered by the contractor.

2. Question: Attachment A Pdf page 13, IS-65 has a conflict in the Scope on panel size. I assume

12”x 8” is correct. Can you confirm?

Government Response: Yes. 12” x 8” is correct.

3. Question: The trailside panel bases are spec’d as 1/8” thick weathering steel. We are concerned this is too thin. Can this be changed to 1/4” thick, or would you like to keep it at 1/8” thick?

Government Response: 1/4" thick would be acceptable

4. Question: The RFQ/P mentions 2020 award of signage fabrication for Anacapa Island. Has that contract been awarded, and if yes, to which vendor?

Government Response: The procurement action for the signage fabrication for Anacapa Island was not handled by this office

5. Question: Does NPS have lodging on the island available for our crew or will we be expected to camp out?

Government Response: There is no travel associated with this contract.

6. Question: Please confirm installation of all signage is a part of the sign fabricator’s scope.

Government Response: Installation is not required under this contract, only fabrication.

7. Question: Will the new dock at the Scorpion Landing be completed in time for project installation or will we be restricted to using Prisoner’s Landing?

Government Response: Installation is not required under this contract, only fabrication.
