Contractor Questions with Answers Re: Request for Quotation #140M0119Q0010 Alternative Oil Spill Occurrence Estimators for Determining Rates for the Atlantic Outer

Continental Shelf (OCS)

1. If offeror has previous experience working with the data, will the government accept delivery of the draft report sooner than 18 months from contract award?

Yes.

2. Can the government provide estimated hours for the professional support required in Task 4?

Yes; it is anticipated that approximately 40 hours of support will be needed and that this support will primarily be requested within the last 6 months of the contract.

3. Does the government want to incorporate prior recommendations (referenced in the

2016 study) for Task 2?

Yes. §8.2 Recommendations (p. 79) of the report 2016 Update of Occurrence Rates for Offshore Oil Spills (available at https://www.bsee.gov/osrr-oil-spill-response-research/2016-update-of-occurrence-rates-for-offshore-oil-spills) prepared for the Bureau of Safety & Environmental Enforcement lists five recommendations that we would prefer be incorporated into this study’s Task 2, where prudent.
