About this file
This document is an amendment to a solicitation for multiple abandoned former ordnance sites cleanup. The Bureau of Land Management seeks cleanup of nine sites located across Alaska. Sites 4 and 9 are optional tasks that will be awarded subject to available funding. Sites 1-3 and 5-8 make up the base scope of work and must be included in all proposals. The period of performance is two years from September 30, 2020 to September 30, 2022. The contractor must provide transportation for up to two government personnel on all charter flights for oversight purposes. A list of pre-approved air charter providers is provided. The amendment answers four questions from potential offerors to clarify requirements.

LIST OF CHANGES:
Questions and Answers
Dated 9-22-2020
Question 1 Should we submit a fixed price bid per site? We are reading the solicitation a couple of ways:
Page 2 of the solicitation PDF suggests that only site 9 should be priced separately from the rest, however
Page 31 of the solicitation PDF suggests that sites 4 and 9 are optional, but
The general dialogue in bullet 6 of page 30 of the PDF suggests a priority list ¿ we thought maybe the BLM required pricing on a per-job basis
Response to Question 1
There are 9 sites requiring action under this
SOW. Sites 4 and 9 should be proposed as optional tasks, and will be awarded subject to available funding. Sites 1-3 and 5-8 should be included in the base scope of work.
Question 2. Are we correct in our understanding that the period of performance is from 9/30/2020 to 9/30/2022 (2 years)?
Response to Question 2
Recognizing the challenging logistics of accessing and working at these six locations, the
BLM has established a 2 year period of performance to complete the work planning, field execution and reporting tasks.
Question 3. It is understood that we are to provide for up to two (2) government personnel in our transportation arrangements so the PI and
Archeologist can observe our work. Does this include commercial flights and accommodations
(such as Alaska Airlines flights to Nome), or only charter services?
