QUESTION & ANSWER

1. Q: will 4x4's be acceptable as well as 3x4's

A: 3x3’s and 3x4’s are acceptable and 4x4’s are not acceptable

2. Q: Are you able to supply previous winning bids for similar contracts?

A: McDaniel Farms INC was awarded 140L6220P0001 1500 Tons Alfalfa Hay for $285,000.000

R&J Equine Kinetics, 140L6220P0037 770 Tons of Alfalfa Hay, $132,300.00

3. Q: Can the grass hay be a mix, such as an orchard/timothy mix?

A: yes, a good quality grass mix of timothy, orchard and brome would be great. If it has just timothy and orchard that would be acceptable also

4. Q: What amount of each of the grass hay is required? Is 1/3 brome, 1/3 timothy, and 1/3 orchard expected (give or take a bale or two)?

A: I would like it a good quality mix, not all bales have the same equal amount of grasses

5. Q: Will there be a minimum and maximum amount requested per delivery between September and November?

A: The grass hay will need to be delivered first and then the alfalfa. It is the contractor’s responsibility to deliver hay in a timely manner throughout the period of performance as requested by the BLM.
