140L5723Q0031 - Lodge Poles and Pressure Treated Posts and Timber Amendment 0001- Q&A 5/11/23
Questions and Answers
Q1: Please advise on the following clarifications requested by the manufacturer.
• What specie, grade and level of treatment for the 1,500 8ft long treated posts?
• What specie, for the 12x12 x 16ft long timbers? Also it says “lengths vary per order:, what does that refer to?
A1: Lodge pole:
• Species - Lodge pole pine
• Grade - There is really no grade for lodge pole because it is the actual tree that has been limbed. The poles should be uniform
• Treatment - untilled (bark is left on the pole) so there is no chemical treatment
Timbers:
• Species - Douglas Fir, Western Red Cedar, Southern Yellow Pine
• 16' is the length for this order
