Amendment P000001 – 140L3723Q0032 Sheep Creek Mastication
Question 1:
1. “Is there any reason you won’t allow boom mounted excavator masticators allowed for this project? I believe with the leaf trees desired to be left behind an excavator would be as productive if not more than a skidsteer.”
Question 2:
2. “It says in the description of the job the work must be performed with a rubber tracked skid steer.
I’m just wondering why that is. We use a prim tech it’s not rubber tracked but it’s like a big skid steer.
Would that work or it must be rubber tracked.”
Answer:
Due to cultural resource concerns, the equipment is required to have rubber tracks with not more than four (4) pounds per square inch ground pressure.
Any rubber tracked skidsteer is considered to meet these requirements. Other types of equipment, such as a boom mounted excavator masticator, would also be allowed if it meets these requirements.
