REQUEST FOR QUOTATION (RFQ) QUESTIONS/ANSWERS JAN 4, 2022

NIFC CAMPUS FIRE SYSTEM INSPECTION

RFQ Number 140L3723Q0001

CONTRACTOR QUESTIONS GOVERNMENT RESPONSE

1. Thank‐you for taking my call – I appreciate your time. See below. Prior to the Site Survey… its it possible to provide us with the sprinkler & alarm device counts for this project?

1. See Appendix‐A of solicitation specifications for water based fire sprinkler system characteristics.

See eleven (11) attachments for buildings 100, 106, 115, 205, 215, and 300. Attachments are last years inspection records on the fire riser and the backflow preventers.

2. I have a question for page 31 of 71. The 50 Year Sprinkler Test mentions the testing status for building #205 and #110 but does not mention any of the other buildings. Does this mean that the buildings are not due for testing, or maybe it unknown when the test is due? Are you able to see when the 50 year test is due for the rest of the buildings?

2. See Appendix‐A of solicitation specifications for water based fire sprinkler system characteristics.

Appendix‐A also includes year fire sprinkler systems were installed which the contractor may derive the due date for the next 50‐year inspection.

Refer to specification section Part‐3

Execution, section “3.6. 50 Year Sprinkler Test: One percent of the sprinklers shall be submitted to a recognized testing laboratory for testing. If there are multiple types of sprinkler heads within the building, then it shall be one percent of each type sent out to be tested. Where a sprinkler is pulled for testing, another sprinkler should be put in its place.

Subsection, 3.6.1. The single building requiring 50 Year Sprinkler Test is the 205- Paraloft.
