140G0224Q0115 - TEMPERATURE MONITORING SYSTEM RFQ – QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
1. QUESTION: Are NIST traceable calibration certificates required?
ANSWER: Yes
2. QUESTION: What are the data retention requirements for the cloud?
ANSWER: not less than five years
3. QUESTION: With our system you get unlimited alert notifications included. Is there a reason why you are limiting yourself to 1000 alert notifications?
ANSWER: The system that we were looking at for market research purposes had this requirement.
4. QUESTION: For installation purposes, how far apart are the sensors?
ANSWER: Installation would be on refrigerators and freezer located in a warehouse type room. Some freezers and refrigerators are located in corridors that are in the same building. Ovens are located in chemistry laboratories. The size of the building is 190,000 sq ft over two stories.
5. QUESTION: Will you consider brand name alternatives that meet or exceed the performance requirements?
ANSWER: Yes, the solicitation is for Brand Name or Equal
6. QUESTION: Can you please confirm line item 20 and 30? Do you need 10ft probe for both items or 3 ft probe?
ANSWER: 3 foot probes
7. QUESTION: Can you confirm about line 40 is a software or can you describe more about it?
ANSWER: The software is the sensor portal subscription. See the new description on line item 40
8. QUESTION: If the vendors software is not available for purchase, Is only cloud-hosting services allowable?
ANSWER: The software will need to be approved by DOI/USGS through a technical review board in the Office of the Chief Information Office. This is for web tools, add on, subscriptions or software that comes bundled with hardware. Due to the unknown approval time, cloud-hosting services that are already not approved through DOI are not allowed at this time.
