Requisition# 00405XXXXX
INTRODUCTION
USGS Woods Hole Coastal and Marine Science Center (WHCMSC) requires a chirp sub-bottom profiling system to replace our twenty-year old system that has reached its end of life. WHCMSC requires a chirp sub-bottom profiling system according to specifications listed below. Vendor will deliver the sub-bottom system no later than 90 days after the award of the contract.
SPECIFICATIONS
1. EdgeTech 3400/SB-0512e, or equal, towed sub-bottom profiling system consisting of the following:

EdgeTech SB-0512e, or equal, digital towfish (digital A/D electronic pressure housing integrated with towfish) with dual chirp transmitters providing 0.5 to 12 kHz bandwidth with user selectable chirp pulses, multi-channel PVDF receiver array, and integrated motion (heave, pitch, and roll) and depth sensors. Towfish must fit (L=61” x W=47.9 x H=35.5”) existing USGS surface-towed catamaran frame or be towed sub-sea surface.
3. EdgeTech Model 3400, or equal, 19” rack mountable digital interface, topside processor and 4KW power amplifier mounted in a ruggedized shipping case, includes keyboard, trackball, and a 24" LCD monitor.
4. EdgeTech DISCOVER, or equal, sub-bottom acquisition software capable of recording digital data in standard SEG-Y and JSF formats and record correlate envelope as well as full waveform analytic trace data. Ability to record motion and depth data in SEG-Y or JSF file headers. Ability to record reflection coefficients.
5. Seventy-five meter Kevlar reinforced multiconductor (1.47cm/0.58”) tow cable and tow cable clamp/grip.
6. Topside amplifier and tow cable components must function with existing EdgeTech 3400/SB-216 towfish.
7. Warranted against defective components and workmanship for a period of one year after delivery. Warranty repair will be done free of charge.
8. Option to take delivery at point of manufacture if within 100 miles of USGS Marine Operations Facility, 11 Woods Hole Road, Falmouth, MA.
SPARE COMPONENTS
1. EdgeTech 3400-P, or equal, portable topside processor spares kit.
2. EdgeTech, or equal, spare electronics and pressure housing (direct replacement).
3. EdgeTech, or equal, spare spider junction box.
4. EdgeTech, or equal, spare 75 meter Kevlar reinforced tow cable.
