Salient Characteristics S19123 The USGS Water Science Center in Ithaca, NY needs to purchase an Alza Orthophosphate IQ Analzer. The system will be used for continuous monitoring of orthophosphates. It must function in streams with high sediment loads.

ORTHOPHOSPHATE ANALYZER SYSTEM

SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS:

ORTHOPHOSPHATE ANALYZER:

1. Must include a permeate pump for filtration.

2. Shall provide cabinet-style (wall) mounting.

3. Shall be continuous monitoring of orthophosphates.

4. Must be weatherproof.

5. Must monitor bio-p removal.

6. Must monitor and control chemical phosphorus removal.

7. Shall be at least a one-channel unit at 5-minute intervals.

8. Must be able to be integrated in an IQ SensorNet 2020 or 282/284 sensor network.

9. Shall provide at least 10W to IQ SensorNet.

10. Must have a measurement range of 0.02 to 15.00 mg/l PO4-P.

11. Must have an accuracy of at least +/- 2%, +/-0.02 mg/l.

12. Shall provide for a pH range of 5 to 9.

13. Shall accommodate a sample temperature of 39° to 104°F.

14. Shall interface with a filtration unit.

15. Shall automatically clean and calibrate.

16. Must operate using 120VAC.

17. Must reliably operate at -4° to 104°F.

18. Shall have at least a 2-year warranty.

19. Must utilize no more than 5 µL of reagents per measurement.

CONTROLLER:

1. Must provide connections for up to 2 sensors with up to multiple parameters simultaneously.

2. Shall monitor remotely and provide a USB interface and data logger interfaces.

3. Must interface with the IQ SensorNet PO4 Analyzer.

4. Must have a backlit graphic color display.

5. Must provide at least a 3-year warranty.

6. Shall include 2 wire shielded cable for power supply and communications.

7. Shall have an enclosure durability rating of at least IP66.

8. Must accommodate 2 IQ sensors, 3 analog outputs, and 3 relays.

9. Shall have integrated lightning protection

10. Shall include a keypad.

11. Must have data memory up to 520,000 data sets.

12. Must operate within a range of -4° to 131°F.

13. Shall operate with power variations of 100 to 240VAC or 24V AC/DC.

14. Must be able to measure, pH, ORP, conductivity, temperature, turbidity, total suspended solids, ammonium, potassium, COD/BOD, total organic carbon, dissolved organic carbon, spectral absorption coefficient, sludge level.
