Q and A

QUESTIONS:

1. Can the government provide detailed dimensions of the floorplans and/or previous As Built drawings? Answer: The floor plan of the BIE PRS Campus, the buildings of which the cameras will be installed-see attached.

2. Can the government provide a floorplan that indicates where they want the new equipment installed? Answer: The Server Room floor plan is Rm B127 at the High School bldg 341, it is highlighted.- see attached.

3. Can the government provide a statement of current conditions? Answer: The current security camera surveillance system at the Bureau of Indian Education Pine Ridge School are non-functional.

Current system has deteriorated to where now it has reached the end of it's usable, operational life.

Cameras are 11 years old.

Please include the Removal of all existing security surveillance cameras, camera mounts, server, and associated hardware in your quote.

4. Will all 136 cameras be mounted either in or on Building 341? If not, and cameras will be placed on/in multiple buildings, we’ll need to know whether the government wants those cameras to be networked or independent. Answer: After walking around the school campus, I discovered 140 security cameras, so I'll be using this number. 140 cameras are placed in various areas campus wide both on the inside and the outside. These cameras are networked using private IP addresses with a connection to the rest of the school using NAT.

5. How many cameras are exterior? Answer: 31 cameras are exterior

6. How many of the exterior cameras are to be hung above 10’ off the ground (requiring a lift truck). Answer: 6 of the exterior cameras are at or above 10'

7. How many cameras are interior? Answer: 109 cameras are interior.

8. Are all cameras mounted in drop ceiling locations? Or are any in hard ceiling locations?

Answer: interior cameras are mounted on drop ceilings. Exterior cameras are mounted on either brick or wood.

10. RETENTION OF FOOTAGE NEEDED Answer: 30 day retention would be ideal, and 14 day retention would be the minimum.

11. QUALITY OF CAMERA RESOLUTION 5MP (2582 x 1944) Answer: camera resolution. 1080p HD (1920 x 1080) would be the minimum if 5MP isn't possible.

12. CONFIRM IF THE CAMERAS ARE TO BE CONSTANT OR MOTION ACTIVATED. Answer: Motion activated.

12. Is there cabling required for any of these cameras? or is it just rip and replace all cameras?

Answer: Existing cabling is to be tested and if found to be non-working, new cabling will be used to replace the non-working cable.

13. What is the back-end VMS system for these cameras? Answer: un known

14. Cameras - 5 megapixel – Quantity? Answer: 140 5MP cameras.

15. 6 megapixel pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) – Quantity? Answer: No PTZ cameras needed at this time.

16. 2 - 48 TB network video recorder (NVR) –

a. Will there be two (2) separate NVR locations, or will these be stacked and paired?

b. If the 30-day retention calculation required more storage, can these be upgraded?

c. Will these be rack-mounted?

d. Are there separate workstations required?

e. If there are workstations, how many? And how far from the recorder(s)?
