Bureau of Indian Education Mariano Lake Community School P.O. Box 787 Crownpoint, New Mexico 87313 Telephone: (505) 786-5265/5219 Fax: (505) 786-5203

STATEMENT OF WORK for MARIANO LAKE COMMUNITY SCHOOL (MLCS)

Background Contractor will provide a screen projector along with speakers and other necessary items to place in our gym.

The purpose is to set up the screen projector with all of the necessary items in the gym for presentations and teaching for our students, staff, parents, and community members during special events, etc.

This project will allow MLCS to present select topics and features in a larger audience setting with a accommodating “safety distance” to support our current Navajo Nation Public Health criteria.

The present gym was built during 2002. Since then, there has been no major updates with our sound system.

Objectives

The goal is to have a quality screen projector and sound system that will last many years with a maintenance plan to insure that upkeep is consistent with the vendor identified.

The objectives are to install a new screen projector and sound system to use during specific learning activities that will be direct, focused, engaging, and motivate our students, staff, parents, and community members.

The end result Is to utilize a modern day system that will accommodate our media needs that will support learning in a virtual setting with academics, interventions, along with topics that will support our learning goals through the school and community engagement that is identified in our Comprehensive Needs Assessment (CNA).

Scope

A walk-through was completed with specific equipment and warranty plans that were discussed with the outcome of obtaining a reliable system that will last for many years. In addition, the system set in the gym will provide safety distance during this time of the pandemic.

Tasks

The plans that support the specifications of what was decided upon are of the following:

· 8000 Lumens

· 120V connection that will be provided by the contractor. In doing this, rather than relying on facility maintenance for service orders, etc., the contractor will be better efficient concerning faster follow-up as facility maintenance often takes time to address the requests, given.

· Install new speakers and new equipment to support the projector screen set-up at full capacity. Our present speakers were installed on 2002.

· Install a “cage” around the projector.

· An agreed “Preventive maintenance plan with 2 service visits and one yearly maintenance visit.
