BEHAVIORAL THERAPY SERVICES

I. STATEMENT OF WORK

Contractor shall provide staff training, observation of classroom environment, assessment of needs of individual students, recommendations to classroom personnel, and assistance in implementation of strategies including providing supplemental materials, and resources as needed. Contractor shall also perform background checks on all their personnel for the 2021-

2022 school year. In addition, the contractor will provide all necessary supplies, materials, equipment and testing materials to perform the work as described below.

II. WORK REQUIREMENTS

After being provided a request from the IEP team or the Psychologist at the school, the contractor shall:

A. Provide behavioral support/consultation services for staff to address the needs of children on IEPs. BCBA will spend an extensive amount of time working with students on their behavior and treatment.

B. Provide Functional Behavior Assessment/Behavior Intervention Plan development support when requested

C. Provide consultation and reinforcement of parenting skills to parents and families

D. If required, provide training and education to school staff

E. Provide consultation to school personnel.

F. Coordinate all referrals for mental health services. Facilitate, as needed, contacts with mental health providers outside the school.

G. Attend IEP meetings for identified children when requested.

H. Maintain records of work performed for monthly invoicing

a. The contractor will be expected to sign in and keep a log regarding the actual duration of coaching/support session or meeting.

b. The contractor will maintain mileage log for each trip.

c. The contractor will be paid for services on a monthly basis. Invoices shall be submitted by the contractor directly to the contracting office and school serviced.

III. REPORTS

All reports shall contain information required to remain in compliance with all pertinent regulations mandated by Federal or State Laws including IDEA and Educational Standards for the state of New Mexico regarding Special Education Program Students. All strategies and tools

D20M12 Behavioral Therapy Services 2 will be provided in writing as a follow up to coaching sessions. Staff worked with will be able to provide data to the IEP or SAT. The reports may be hand delivered or mailed with the original protocols to the school special education coordinator.

The contractor is also required to log in and out of the school site and to schedule herself/himself for meetings/support sessions at the school’s request. Weekly schedules shall be approved by the school’s special education coordinator.

A. The contractor will be expected to provide data and tools to staff regarding student progress.

B. The contractor will be expected to meet with the parents of students and/or guardian of students receiving behavior support, to provide for consultation during which time the contractor will be available to meet with close family member to discuss those issues, problems or concerns which are pertinent to or impact on the progress of the student within the school environment. These meetings will be scheduled based on the willingness of family members to participate voluntarily and with consultation with the contractor.

IV. EVALUATION REPORT OF PROGRAM EVALUATION:

All reports should contain all necessary information required to remain in compliance with any and all pertinent regulations mandated by Federal or State Laws including IDEA and the Indian

School Equalization Program’s guidelines and criteria.

In addition the completion of behavioral therapy services, the contractor shall:

A. The contractor, when requested, shall be present at IEP/multidisciplinary placement team meetings to develop individual goals and objectives for each student to whom support is provided. The Board Certified Behavior Analyst will support the development of goals and objectives.

B. Meet the students on an individual basis for the purpose of providing behavioral services, and to determine the effectiveness of individual program goals and objectives and/or student progress in regard to his/her adaption to the educational environment, potential for integration into the regular program, and ability to cope outside a structured environment.

V. CONFIDENTIALITY

All materials furnished or produced by the contractor under this agreement, including but not limited, to documents, reports, and correspondence will remain CONFIDENTIAL. The contractor shall not release information to any persons, group of persons, firm or organizations other than the Bureau of Indian Education, San Felipe Pueblo Elementary School with information related to work performed, research or information derived from work performed under this agreement. Breach of confidentiality shall be denied substantial breach of this agreement and may be grounds for rescission.
