COVID TEST KIT Q&A

1. Is this an ISBEE Set-Aside?

Government Response: Yes

2. We understand the at-home tests need FDA approval. However, could FDA EUA

(Emergency Use Authorization) be acceptable to bid?

Government Response: Yes.

3. We would like to ask for an extension on the bid to make sure the manufacture will allocate the kits?

Government Response: The solicitation will be extended to Friday, February 4 at 10am

ET. Due to the urgency of this requirement additional extensions will not be granted.

4. May I know the part# of the product you were referring to?

Government Response: The specifications of the requirement are: FDA approved, at-home, self-administered test kit.

5. Will the Staff and faculty shipments be sent to a centralized location?

Government Response: No, shipments will be sent to each location identified in attachment 1 with the number identified for each location. Exact addresses will be provided after award. Or they are available on www.bie.edu.

6. Will these test kits all be shipped to a central distribution point or will they need to be shipped to the various locations listed on the attachment?

Government Response: See response to question 5.

7. Are you seeking all 500,000 kits to be delivered at one time?

Government Response: Since the market and availability are unknown, the Government will evaluate and award in accordance with the terms in FAR 52.212-2 in the solicitation.

8. Manufacturers are stating 8-10 weeks before these are able to be delivered due to the quantity and the logistics of sending them to so many locations. Is the BIE open to those delivery terms?

Government Response: Contractors should quote their best terms per the RFQ.

9. Is there a preferred number of kits per box (20, 25, 30)?

Government Response: There is no per box requirement. Need is 500K total. Vendors are encouraged to provide best solution.

10. How many tests per kit is required?

Government Response: The contractor can propose their best terms for packaging.

11. Normally, each kits has 2 tests in a box, can you clarify this is 2 tests in a box for a total quantity of 500,000 boxes (2 tests) or only 500,000 tests?

http://www.bie.edu/

Government Response: 500,000 individual tests is the requirement but it is acceptable for multiple tests to be in a box/kit.
