1. For the 5 days of the “Strategic Event Planning for OIED” week – has a breakdown been defined for training vs. strategic plan development vs OIED specific meetings?

A: 2 days team building and 2 days strategic planning- 2 day with OPEN discussions - all OIED specific.

How many attendees would be attending the conference? 18-20

Would all attendees be live? Yes

Would all attendees be from OIED? Yes

How many professionals work in OIED in total? 18

3. Has OIED conducted strategic planning in the past and if so, is the strategic plan available to review and what years does it cover?

A: No, this is the first event of its kind.

4. Is there a building location reserved in Washington D.C. for the 5 days of the team building meeting along with the needed audio visual?

A: Yes- the Washington Plaza Hotel and audio and visual is already included

5. Is the contractor to budget for meeting room space and a/v costs?

A: No

6. Is the contractor to budget for copies of meeting materials and tent cards?

A: Yes

7. What will be the hours of the day that you will meet over the 5 days?

A: 8.5 hours daily - 9am to 5:30pm

8. The SOW says, “The contract will support the pre-strategic planning session stages of the strategic plan…” However, #4 under Scope of Work indicates that a final strategic plan is a required deliverable. Can OIED please clarify if the vendor is to provide “pre-strategic planning support” or if this contract covers the full scope of work required to produce an OIED strategic plan?

A: It covers the full scope of work to produce the strategic plan.

9. The SOW describes planning and conducti ng a 5-day, onsite team training/teambuilding event (Item #1 under SOW) and also the requirement to facilitate in-person input for developing a strategic plan for all of OIED (Item #2 under SOW). Is the government’s intent that during the 5-dayonsite event, the vendor would both conduct team-building training as well as gather the in-person input required to develop the OIED strategic plan?

A: No- we expect the chosen vendor to conduct interviews with staff and shareholders before the actual meeting.

10. Is there currently a strategic plan in place for OIED? If so, was a contractor engaged to support the development of that plan?

A: No - this is the first for OIED.

11. Typically, effective strategic planning is an iterative and inclusive process that engages a broad set of stakeholders from across the organization. Under this RFQ, is OIED looking for a vendor to support a full-scale strategic planning process, or is this eff ort more focused on planning &conducting the in-person activities that are part of a broader strategic planning process within the Office?

A: To support a full-scale strategic plan - OIED is a small office with less than 20 staff members.
