To get a passing grade piles must be all of the following:

1. Pile Height: Five feet high or higher hand piles or 10 feet high or higher grapple piles as measured mid slope.

2. Compact: Compact with smaller fuels at the bottom and larger fuels on top with no large spaces or gaps.

3. Plastic: Covered with 4 mil plastic located in the upper 1/5th of pile and coving 3/4th of the pile as viewed form the top.

4. Clear 3 Feet: Clear of all debris 3 inches in diameter and larger extending 3 feet from around the pile perimeter.
