Construct Pole Barns – Corvallis, OR

Ques ons and Answers

1. Is there a concrete slab or gravel, or we just leaving it dirt?

a. ANSWER: Gravel on both, the one at the North Farm will have gravel full width and extending 20’ in front of the structure. The one at the Hop’s farm will just be gravel inside the structure.

2. Are there any man doors on the buildings?

a. ANSWER: No man doors for either structure.

3. No power or water correct?

a. ANSWER: No u li es to either structure.

4. Will the en re floor be a concrete slab?

a. ANSWER: No concrete at all in either structure except as needed for foo ngs.

5. Does conduit need to be le for any electrical or plumbing in the future?

a. ANSWER: No.

6. Verify the correct dimensions. On the statement of work, Sec on 4. Scope calls for 2-

30'x60'x12' buildings but in Sec on 3. Introduc on it calls for 36'x60'x12'.

a. ANSWER: The appropriate size is 30’x60’ with 12’ eves.

7. Will the buildings be dirt floor or will they have gravel or concrete floors?

a. ANSWER: Gravel on both, the one at the North Farm will have gravel full width and extending 20’ in front of the structure. The one at the Hop’s farm will just be gravel inside the structure.

8. Due to the spacing for the doors and lead me for engineering, is a steel building a possible op on?

a. ANSWER: As long as it meets applicable codes for wind shear and specifica ons.

9. Will the building need any type of u li es ran to them?

a. ANSWER: No u li es will be run to either structure.

10. In regards to the pole barn needing to be demolished; the most eastern wall is also the support structure for the newer structure (see picture below). My sugges on would be to demoli on the first bay of the newer exis ng structure and extend the newly constructed building to meet the exis ng structure. Tying it in as one unit. Is this something you would want completed or leave the newer structure with the exis ng supports from the pole barn to be demolished?

a. ANSWER: Either method is acceptable.
