Q&A Zone 20 Rentals

1. Please be more specific regarding location of services. Will a 9-axel trailer be able to get to the drop off point (staging area) and have space to turn around at the drop off point?

Please see Attachment 1 with a map of the drop off location (staging area).

Only up to a 3-axel trailer will be able to get to the drop off point and return. Anything larger will have to be offloaded at the oversized load drop point and equipment will need to be walked out to the staging area.

Clarification: The pickup location is different from the drop off point (see Attachment 3). Pickup will take place approximately 120 days after services begin. Additionally, approximately half way through the period of performance work will move to a second location (see Attachment 3-unpaved road). The completion of work will take place at a third location, identified as the pickup point in Attachment 3.

2. What are the expectations for on-site maintenance and repair?

On-site maintenance and repair shall be available Monday through Saturday from 6:00AM to 6:00PM (AZ local time). Vendor must be able to be on-site within four (4) hours of maintenance or repair call.

3. Who will be operating the equipment?

The equipment will be operated by Forest Service employees - journeymen operators.

4. Are there special instructions for equipment inspection?

Equipment must be completely clean and free of all dirt and debris. Equipment must be operable and damage free.

5. Line item 005 states “Soil Compactors/Vibratory…”, does this mean more than one is needed?

No, only one compactor is needed. The Schedule of Items has been adjusted.
