Question: The word “removal” is used twice in the description of work on Page 6 of the solicitation. Does this mean that the trees need to be felled, or do they need to be removed from any of the units?

Government Response: The trees should be left inside the unit where they lay once felled, unless they were felled into a parking area, across a trail, or across a road. Then they should be ‘bucked off the road’ and moved a couple feet off the parking area, trail, or road so that cars can park, people can walk, and cars can pass on the road.

Question: The Solicitation’s Licenses and Insurance section states on Page 8 that the subject contract requires a Form WH510 registration. Is this correct?

Government Response: No, the form number on Page 8 is the result of a typographical error. The correct form number is WH530.

Question: What is the COR’s availability for a site visit Friday, May 20; Saturday, May 21, or Sunday, May 22?

Government Response: The COR is available for a site visit during that time frame. Contractor must confirm the COR’s availability prior to site visit. The COR’s preference is for May 20th at 9:30 AM at the following location:

Mammoth Lakes Welcome Center (in the Parking Lot)

2510 Main Street (aka 2510 Hwy 203)

Mammoth Lakes, CA 93546

The COR is available by phone at (760) 924-5550 or (908) 591-5618.

Question: What degree of cleanup is required for the site?

Government Response: Government refers Contractor to Section C.7-2-1.4 – Cut Material – Trees which are cut will be lopped and scattered so that the bole and all cut material are lying flat on the ground to eliminate any potential risk of rolling. All spring poles created by the operation will be mitigated and low stumped. All cut material and/or activity generated debris will be removed from parking areas, trails, and roads and hauled/dragged back into the unit.
