Statement of Work

HVAC Replacement

Andrew Pickens Ranger District Ranger District Office

PART 1 – GENERAL

A. Description of Work

This section covers the purchase and installation of two electric heat pumps and two air handlers for the Ranger District office located on the Andrew Pickens Ranger District.

B. Andrew Pickens Ranger District 112 Andrew Pickens Cr Mountain Rest, SC 29664

C. Coordinate work hours and work activities with the Project COR / Inspector.

PART 2 – PRODUCTS

A. (2) Carrier Performance 3-ton 17 SEER Residential 2-Stage Air Conditioner Condensing Unit or pre-approved equivalent make/model.

B. (2) 3 Ton Evaporator N Coil Cased Vertical Upflow / Downflow Painted 17" Width (Aluminum) or pre-approved equivalent

C. (2) Carrier Performance 96% AFUE 60000 Btuh 2 Stage Variable Speed ECM Multipoise Gas Furnace or pre-approved equivalent

D. (2) Carrier Infinity - GAPAAXCC1625 16" x 25" Air Purifier for Furnace 1600 CFM or pre-approved equivalent.

E. (2) Aprilaire Model 1850 - Whole Home Dehumidifier or pre-approved equivalent.

F. (2) Honeywell - TH6220WF2006 Lyric T6 Pro Wi-Fi Programmable Thermostat or pre-approved equivalent.

G. Natural to Propane LP conversion kits

H. Drip pans, float switches, condensate pumps, and drains

I. Insulated Copper Line Sets

J. New outdoor bases for units if the previous bases are damaged or need repair

K. Electrical components as specified in Part 3.

L. Ductwork sealant and insulation.

PART 3 – EXECUTION

1. The contractor is responsible for removal and disposal of the existing units, electrical, and associated components of the units that are being replaced.

2. The air handlers shall be installed at the existing locations of the current units or at a location agreed upon by the COR. The installation of the air handlers shall include; Drain pans, float switches, condensate pumps, condensate tubing, heat strips, filter kits, transition supply and return plenum, and replacing existing electrical circuits (sized per NEC and MFG installation instructions) as needed.

3. All existing ductwork shall be sealed and insulated as needed.

4. All exterior electrical and line sets shall be strapped securely to the exterior wall and placed to prevent future damage.

5. Install new thermostats and thermostat wire.

6. All penetrations shall be sealed to prevent rodent entry.

7. The contractor shall submit a recommended equipment list to the COR prior to ordering equipment and obtain approval. As noted previously, the equipment must be comparable to the equipment listed. If recommending a different model or MFG, the contractor shall provide comparisons when bidding the project in order to receive consideration. Once items have been procured the contractor shall contact the COR to schedule installation.

8. All work must be completed during normal business hours (8:00am-5:00pm)

9. Installation must meet ICC Building Codes and NEC standards. Contractor and / or sub-contractor must be a SC Licensed Electrician and SC Licensed “Heating and Cooling” Installer.

The installation will include following manufacturer’s recommendations. Contractor is responsible for verifying all existing components meet the manufacturer’s installation instructions and building codes (replacing if necessary).
