Dear Sir or Madam:
The USDA-ARS National Sedimentation Laboratory is seeking quotations for unmanned aerial systems (UAS) to support research topics of terrain and plant system analysis. To address this research need, the UAS must be able to:
• Obtain centimeter level terrain accuracy information
• Obtain decimeter level plant and hydrology accuracy information
• Include a survey grade camera and multispec camera (5 band)
• Operational flight time must be at least 3 hours (Our current UAS can only collect imagery for 15-minute increments before the battery must be replaced, so we need to increase our flight time to maximize field efficiency during collection campaigns.)
• Contain control module/software for flight automation and data collection.
• Contain a PPK module (GPS correction technology) to increase locational accuracy and maximize collection efficiency with and without ground control markers.
