Scope of Work:
Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, and supplies to remove and replace the existing Chiller #2 unit-mounted starter enclosure with variable frequency drive (VFD) for U. S. Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service, Human Nutrition Research Center on Aging (HNRCA), 711 Washington St., Boston, MA 02111.
Existing VFD model number is Carrier 19XVA2AA500 (see VFD cabinet asset plate information in Appendix) for Chiller #2 (model number 19XRV5152383KEH64; see chiller asset plate in Appendix).
Contractor shall:
Use Lock out/Tag out procedures Electrically disconnect power and control wiring to existing unit Remove VFD cabinet from chiller support Install new VFD cabinet of same brand name or equal capacity as existing unit Electrically reconnect power and control wiring to new unit Power up new unit and test all connections and functionality
All work shall be completed in accordance with all local, state, and federal codes and regulations. All work shall be accomplished in a professional manner and in accordance with good workmanship and acceptable practice.
Contractor is responsible for inspecting the site and for determining the exact dimensions of the project.
Contractor shall obtain at own expense all permits, licenses, and inspections required by all local, state, and federal authorities. Contractor shall submit written specifications for all materials and supplies to be used and must be included in the bid submission package.
Contractor shall notify and schedule utility outages at least 24 hours in advance.
During work, contractor shall maintain a safe work area around the site of repair and clearly mark danger areas with cones and safety tape. All unused and demolition materials shall be removed from the site by the contractor and shall not be placed in the owner’s disposal areas.
Inspections and Completion:
Upon completion of the project, contractor shall ensure proper performance and shall demonstrate the required performance to the Location Monitor (LM) and/or other representatives.
Contractor shall remove all excess materials, debris, and equipment from the site and dispose of properly.
Recycling:
Contractor shall make best effort to recycle any construction debris created during the contract.
Detailed Quote:
Contractor shall provide a detailed quote which includes all materials, labor, and equipment in order to fully and successfully complete the Statement of Work described in this document.
Inspection and Acceptance:
A government representative shall inspect and approve the work performed on this project.

Period of Performance:
Thirty (30) Days After Award.
