Questions and Answers #1
1. The scope of work did not mentioned replacement of the sidewalk leading to the Flagpole. However, during the site visit, the sidewalk leading to the flagpole foundation is not in good shape, which may need to be replace. Is the contractor responsible for replacing these sidewalks and if so, can it be replaced all the way to the asphalt pavement (the road)?
ANSWER: The contractor is not responsible for repairing or replacing existing sidewalk leading to the flagpole.
1. How far are we cutting and replacing the landscape, because it is not stated in the statement of work. It only mentioned to replace landscape?
ANSWER: Any landscaping damaged during the Scope of Work for the flagpole work will need to be repaired by the contractor.
1. Will a Payment & Performance Bond be required for this project?
ANSWER: If your offer is under $35,000, no payment or performance bonds would be required. If your offer is over $35,000 then you will need to provide payment bonds. If offer is over $150,000 then additionally performance bonds will be required.
