Paragraph 5 Ordering Data
A. ASTM-B-369/B369M, STANDARD SPECIFICATION FOR COPPER-NICKEL ALLOY
CASTINGS, dated 01 APRIL 2020.

D. Pattern or drawing number: NAVSEA Drawing 203-4325141 Rev. AE, pc.9. Drawing for
Shipyard use only. Vendor shall manufacture sleeve to the following specifications. The sleeve shall be stress relieved for dimensional stability prior to rough machining at 875° F. Vendor shall rough machine to 30.000 INCHES +0.062 / -0 INCHES outside diameter, 27-21/32 INCHES +0 / -0.062 INCHES inside diameter, 101-5/8 INCHES +/- 1/64 INCHES length. Roundness of the sleeve I.D. shall be within 0.015 INCHES. The I.D. of the sleeve shall be concentric to the O.D. within 1/32 INCHES. The straightness of the sleeve, measure along the length, shall be within 1/32 INCHES.

Requirements of this specification may be specified.
G. The following are optional and should be specified in the purchase order when required:

I. Preparation for delivery:
S7.1 – Preservation, packaging, and packing is required: Level C The material shall be separated by size, composition, grade, or class and shall be preserved and packaged, Level A or C, packed, Level A, B, or C as specified in the contract or purchase order, in accordance with the requirements of Practice B900.
S7.2 – In addition to any special marking required by the contract or purchase order, marking for shipment shall be in accordance with MIL-STD-129.
Additional Data Requirements: The following references ASTM-B-369 and are clarification/expansion of the designated section of Paragraph 5 Ordering Data requirements
5.2.1 /S2/S3 Soundness Requirements: Liquid Penetrant inspection (PT) shall be in accordance with T9074-AS-GIB-010/271 (Rev 1), acceptance criteria for PT shall be per MIL- STD-2035A class 1. Radiographic Inspection (RT) per T9074-AS-GIB-010/271 (Rev 1).
Acceptance criteria for RT shall be per TABLE XIX of S9074-AR-GIB-010/278 (Change A), Criticality Level 1, for a casting thickness of 1 inch and less. Penetrameter selection shall be as follows: Vendor shall use 0.87” penetrameter maximum with 2-2T sensitivity for the entire length of the sleeve. Radiographic shooting sketches, test report, and radiographic film shall be forwarded prior to hardware shipment. Government to verify format, content, and media.
Hardware will not be shipped until the government accepts the report and film.
5.2.3 Certification of Compliance with chemical composition per Table 2 and mechanical properties per Table 3 is required.
5.2.5 Product Marking: Markings shall be per Section S6, except drawing and piece number are not required, as the castings are not finished components.
5.2.6 Weldability Test: Weldability test shall be per ASTM B369 Section 8.
5.2.7 Approval of weld procedure and records of repair: Approval of weld repairs in excess of limits specified in ASTM B369 paragraph 9.1 is required and shall be per paragraph 9.2. All weld repairs shall be in accordance with S9074-AR-GIB-010/278 (Change A) using welders and welding procedures qualified in accordance with S9074-AQ-GIB-010/248.
