Description
Quotes are being solicited by the Forest Service for a campground improvement project on the Salmon-Challis National Forest. This project is to improve site conditions for recreational use at Cougar Point Campground. Work included in this contract is as follows: decommissioning and removal of two (2) vault toilets from the campground; purchase, delivery and installation of two (2), new, ADA accessible, precast concrete, single vault toilets; regrading and surfacing of the south entrance as staked by the COR; resetting of the cattle guard at the south entrance; raising and resurfacing; as well as construction of 3 drainage dips in locations staked by the COR along approximately 600 linear feet of campground road; excavation of approximately 200 feet of ditch; demolition and removal of all existing campfire rings and picnic tables, and possible tree removal near the entrance and throughout the campground.
This requirement is being solicited as a firm-fixed price contract using the procedures of FAR Part 12 for commercial items and FAR Part 13.5 Procedures for Certain Commercial Items. The Forest Service anticipates the work to begin May 1, 2018 and to be completed no later than August 1, 2018. Quotes are due at 1:00 p.m. MST, April 18, 2018.
The contractor will be responsible for furnishing all labor, equipment, supervision, transportation, certain operating supplies, and incidentals necessary to perform work. The Forest Service will allow the Contractor to utilize material from the Williams Creek Summit Borrow Pit. Contractor is responsible for removing, hauling, and grading the material to 3 inch minus for use as embankment construction.
The solicitation will be available on approximately March 21, 2018, and may be downloaded from this site at that time. Hard copies of the solicitation document will not be available. All future information about this acquisition, including solicitation and amendments, will also be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. Vendors are required to be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM). All responsible sources may submit a response to this announcement which will be considered by this agency.
