Septicity Requirements for the Proteomics Service

This service request is to analyze total protein profile of barley mature seed samples and compare the differences between mutant and corresponding wildtype samples. Full service is required from protein extraction to data analysis as well as summary result report writing. We request the service vendor:

1. Must be able to extract all proteins from mature barley seeds with one gram of seed sample.

2. Generated tryptic peptides need to be analyzed using new technologies including nano UPLC/MS/MS.

3. The peptide quantitation should be based on peak intensity using new sensitive and accurate methodology such as MaxQuant software.

4. Protein level false discovery rate (FDR) must be less than 1%.

5. Statistical analysis will be performed to identify the different proteins between mutant and wild-type.

6. Summary will be written and delivered.

7. Raw data will be delivered.

8. Following support of data interpretation will be provided.
