Req 1019021 Statement of Work (SOW) Custom Battery Components In a current research project, the USDA-ARS in Albany, CA proposes to make batteries from carbon, obtained from agricultural waste. Two potentiostats are required to measure battery characteristics and potential.
Minimum Acceptable Requirements as follows:
Potentiostat A – A high speed sampling tester for 1 channel for advanced, precise testing. A Must meet the following:
a. Measure 20 μs (microseconds) per channel
b. Have 6 current ranges from 10 μA (amperes) to IA in increments of 100 (i.e., 10 μA, 100 μA, 1 mA, 10 mA, 100 mA, IA).
c. Full-scale range (FSR) of ±2.4 times current range
d. Current accuracy of 5 nA
e. Voltage accuracy of <0.15 FSR
f. Voltage range of -5 V to +5 V
g. Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS) interface that is Internal and one per channel
h. Fully automated calibration routine
1. Constant-current to constant-voltage (CC/CV) switch time of 35 μs J. Rise time of 2 μs
k. DC internal resistance (DCIR) measurement that is fully adjustable
1. Must have a modular design for easy conversion
m. Profile simulation control must include current, voltage, power and resistance
n. Must include a temperature chamber interface
o. Must have local technical support Potentiostat B – An 8 channel, slower speed tester for more general testing, that can test 8 devices at a time. B must meet the following:
a. Measure ms (milliseconds) per channel
b. Have 5 current ranges from 100 μA (amperes) to 1 A in increments of 100 (i.e., 100 μA, 1 mA, 10 mA, 100 mA, lA).
c. Full-scale range (FSR) of ±1.5 times current range
d. Current accuracy of 50 nA
e. Voltage accuracy of<0.3 mV ±0.01% of setting
f. Voltage range of 0 V to+ 10 V
g. Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS) interface that is Internal
h. Fully automated calibration routine
1. Constant-current to constant-voltage (CC/CV) switch time of 300 μs J. Rise time of 2 μs
k. DC internal resistance (DCIR) measurement that is fully adjustable
1. Must have a modular design for easy conversion
m. Profile simulation control must include current, voltage, power and resistance
n. Must include a temperature chamber interface
o. Must have local technical support
