DESCRIPTION OF REQUIREMENTS

MIL-PRF-26514 POLYURETHANE CUSTOM FOAM

1.0 INTRODUCTION

The NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support (WSS) Container Reuse and Refurbishment Center (CRRC) operation has a requirement to refurbish Navy containers utilized to protect Depot Level Repairable (DLR) components and parts.

The purpose of this requirement is to obtain Polyurethane Custom Foam cushioning to replace the existing deteriorating material within the container. The cushioning is intended to aid in protecting DLR materials during shipment and storage. The inability to refurbish existing containers will affect the WSS CRRC's mission throughout the Enterprise if the required material is unavailable.
