INVITATION FOR BID
IFB B26015
This project is a renovation totaling 81,334 sq. ft. at the Addison Elementary School campus. The renovation will cover all corridors, the media center, cafeteria, classrooms, administration offices, restrooms, and other spaces as needed. The extent of work includes, but is not limited to, the following:
• New flooring throughout the facility, including: LVT, carpet, ceramic and quarry tile, and sealed concrete.
Gymnasium and kitchen flooring not in scope, except where detailed in the drawings.
• New security vestibule.
• New paint throughout the facility. All interior and exterior existing painted surfaces will be prepped and receive new paint.
• Restroom fixtures to be replaced as needed. New restroom accessories as needed.
• New storefront windows within the 100 hall and 400 hall classrooms.
• New horizontal blinds at all exterior windows.
Sealed bids are requested by the Cobb County School District (CCSD) from General Contractors (no other license is acceptable) for the construction of:

Bids will be received through the CCSD Euna Procurement Portal at https://cobbk12.bonfirehub.com/portal/?tab=openOpportunities
Due Date/Time: October 14, 2025 at 3:00 pm
The bids will be publicly opened and read aloud by the Cobb County School District, Procurement Services Department, at 6975 Cobb International Blvd., Kennesaw, Georgia 30152. Bids will be date and time stamped by the CCSD Euna Procurement Portal. CCSD is not responsible for the failure of the vendor’s computer hardware, software, or other communication systems or devices. Bids submitted in any manner other than through the CCSD Euna Procurement Portal will not be accepted.
A mandatory pre-bid conference will be held at Addison Elementary School, 3055 Ebenezer Road, Marietta, GA 30066, on September 24, 2025, at 10:00 AM ET. Only interested contractors/sub-contractors shall attend the meeting.
Attendance at this pre-bid conference is a mandatory prerequisite to submitting a bid. A representative from your company is required to visit the site to confirm conditions before submitting a bid.
Bid Documents may be reviewed at the Office of the Design Professional and the CCSD Procurement Services Department.
To be eligible to respond to this bid, Contractors must pre-qualify as outlined in CCSD Board Administrative Rule FGC-R which is available on the CCSD website, www.cobbk12.org by selecting the “Menu”, next select “Board”, and click on “Policies & Rules”, then select Section “F” and choose FGC-R Construction Contractor Prequalification. The deadline for submitting pre-qualification requirements for this project is 3:00 PM ET on October 2, 2025. Contractors must provide proof of previous job experience within 30% of the cost or scope of this project. CCSD will review the pre-qualification submittal and respond within five (5) business days.

All communications concerning these documents and project must be submitted through the CCSD Euna Procurement Portal. Only inquiries received by 3:00 PM ET on October 2, 2025 will be considered.
Responses to all inquiries will be posted to the CCSD Euna Procurement Portal.

$95.00 per set for full-size hard copy and $50.00 per set for half-size hard copy $0.00 per set for an electronic copy
Hard copy documents will be shipped postpaid, as soon as possible. Bid responses will only be accepted from companies that have downloaded bid documents from the Design Professional. The plans and specifications are available as of the date of this invitation for bid.
The contract, if awarded, will be on the basis stated in the Instructions to Bidders. No bid may be withdrawn for 60 days after bid opening except within 48 hours if an appreciable error can be shown.
Bid responses must be accompanied by a bid bond made payable to the Cobb County School District, in the amount equal to five (5) percent of the bid price. (Certified or Cashier’s Check will Not be Acceptable in Lieu of Bid Bond.)
The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond acceptable to the Cobb County School District in an amount equal to 100 percent of the contract price and executed by a Surety Company licensed to do business in the State of Georgia and listed in the Department of the Treasury Circular 570, latest edition. The Surety Company shall have an A.M. Best Company minimum rating of "A-" with a financial size of VI "6" or better. Bonds must be accompanied by a letter stating the bonding company's current rating for verification before acceptance by the Owner and execution of the formal Owner/Contractor agreement.
Bonding of Subcontractors: Include in the Base Bid, Performance and Labor and Materials Payment Bonds, each in 100% of the subcontract sum, for each Subcontractor having a contract of $50,000.00 or more for Roofing, HVAC, Plumbing, Sprinkler System and Electrical Work as required by the General Conditions.
Contractor and Subcontractors shall require the Attorney-in-Fact who executes bonds on behalf of sureties to attach a certified, current copy of his/her Power of Attorney.
Cobb County School District reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities and informalities.
