Notice to Bidders
The State University of New York College of Agriculture and Technology at Cobleskill will receive electronic secured bids for project number 241012W titled Minor Window Restoration Old Gym until 2:00 p.m. local time on April 30, 2020 or sealed bids at the Capital Projects Trailer at the Mackey Service Building Complex, 119
Schoharie Parkway North, Cobleskill, NY 12043, where such proposals will be opened and read aloud via conference call with official bid tabulations to be provided following. Proposals may be hand delivered but we encourage secure electronic submission to letot@cobleskill.edu or mail to the above location only and must be received at such time. Conference Call Attendee Directions: call 518-255-3474; enter the meeting number 5245 and press #; attendees will then be asked for the Attendee Access Code. Enter 2837012043 followed by #.
The State University of New York College of Agriculture and Technology at Cobleskill is seeking a responsive and responsible contractor to provide minor window restoration services at Old Gym as described and detailed in the contract documents including:
• Remove and dispose of existing aluminum storm windows.
• Remove, salvage and deliver to Owner all existing wood storm windows.
• Replace broken glass windowpanes at all locations indicated in the Window Restoration Schedule.
• Remove and replace all loose and deteriorated glazing compound.
• All deteriorated wood components are to be repaired and restored.
• Restore functionality of operable components.
• Because of access challenges, restoration of dormer window sash is intended to be done in place.
• Owner will remove all interior window shades, owner will do all repair/restoration work related to exterior doors and sidelights immediately adjacent to the doors, and owner will procure and install all new interior storm windows.

A non-mandatory Contractor conference call will be held Thursday, April 16, 2020 at 10:00 AM. Conference
Call Attendee Directions: attendees please call 518-255-3474; then enter the meeting number 5245 and press #;
attendees will then be asked for the Attendee Access Code. Enter 2837012043 followed by #. Individual walkthroughs may be provided as current laws permit by appointment only between April 9, 2020 and April 23, 2020. Walkthrough requests must be submitted in writing to Mike Murphy – Construction Manager
MurphyMF@cobleskill.edu . Failure to attend the conference call or a walkthrough shall not be the cause for extra payment.
Bids may be hand delivered but we encourage secure electronic submission to letot@cobleskill.edu or mailed. Hand delivered and mailed bids must be submitted in duplicate in accordance with the instructions contained in the
Information for Bidders. Security will be required for each bid in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the
Total Bid.
It is the policy of the State of New York and the State University of New York to encourage certified minority- or women-owned business enterprises and service-disabled veteran-owned business participation in this project by contractors, subcontractors and suppliers, and all bidders are expected to cooperate in implementing this policy.
State Finance Law §139-l requires bidders on State contracts to have in place policies and training to prevent sexual harassment. A certification of such is required for submission of this bid.
The State University of New York reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
