Request for Information Rent/Lease and Maintenance

Containerized Showers

The 502d Contracting Squadron, JBSA- Ft Sam Houston, San Antonio, TX is conducting market research to identify potential sources that possess the capabilities to meet the requirements and qualifications for providing containerized showers at Camp Bullis, TX.

Contractors/Institutions voluntarily responding to this market research are placed on notice that participation in this survey may not ensure participation in future solicitations or contract awards.

Responses to this Request for Information (RFI) will help guide the strategy of how this requirement is procured in regards to the small business category. This Request for Information RFI/Sources Sought Notice is issued for informational and planning purposes only. This is not a Request for Proposal (RFP). It is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract. Responses will not be considered as proposals, nor will any award be made as a result of this RFI. The Air Force will not be responsible for any costs incurred by interested parties in responding to this RFI. Contact with Government personnel other than those specified in this RFI by potential offerors or their employees' regarding this project is prohibited. This notice is an announcement seeking market information on vendors capable of providing the services as described herein.

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. The following pages contain a description of the requirement and a Contractor Capability Survey. The work description is an excerpt from the draft Performance Work Statement (PWS) for this project. The work description is meant to be an overview of the work of this project and may not be the exact verbiage used in the final PWS. This survey allows contractors to provide their company’s capability for this requirement.

2. If, after reviewing these documents, you voluntarily desire to participate in the market research, please provide documentation supporting your company’s capability in meeting the requirements.

3. Small businesses are encouraged to participate in this Market Research.

DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT: The draft document is intended to provide a general description of this project. The final PWS will be provided with the official solicitation

**The following is an excerpt from the draft PWS for this project.

The requirement is to provide turnkey containerized showers at the Medical Training Facility located in Training Area 22 (TA22) on Camp Bullis. The showers shall provide field sanitation facilities for trainees using the facility. Three (3) containerized showers (18 heads) must be provided. Showers shall be configured so that separate facilities for males and females must be provided. All work shall be accomplished in a manner consistent with industry standards, and be in conformance with the contract specifications and drawings either referenced or included herein.

The contractor shall verify the quantities, dimensions, conditions and configurations throughout the work area, and field verify all data provided on drawings.

The contractor must provide all equipment, supplies, parts, tools, supervision and labor to deliver and install containerized showers required under this PWS in order to provide showers, potable water delivery, housekeeping and related components identified in the drawing. Any special tools or equipment required for installation shall be solely the responsibility of the contractor.

The vendor shall be responsible for the tear down and removal at conclusion of the contract.
