The University of Dayton Research Institute has been awarded an Indefinite Delivery Contract (IDC) by the U.S. Air Force for the Power, Energy, Thermal, Integration, and Controls Research Program (PETIC). The $99 million multiple-award IDC has a period of performance through May 2024. Under this contract, the University of Dayton Research Institute will provide scientific research services related to power, energy, thermal, integration, and controls.
The contract includes two awarded task orders. The first is a $30 million cost-plus-fixed-fee delivery order for scientific research in the PETIC focus areas. The second is a $24.5 million cost-plus-fixed-fee delivery order for advanced component and subsystem thermophysical, electrochemical, and electromagnetic experimentation. Major subcontractors for the latter task order include Kratos Unmanned Aerial Systems, Miami University, and the State University of New York. All work will be performed in Dayton, Ohio. This IDC and associated task orders leverage the University of Dayton Research Institute's extensive expertise in providing research, development, testing, and engineering services to the Department of Defense and other federal agencies.
