The Department of the Air Force awarded Colorado Engineering Inc. an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract under the Advanced Battle Management System program with a potential value of $950 million. The IDV allows for the issuance of multiple delivery orders for products and services such as the $3,366 order provided for work supporting ABMS to be completed by December 2020 in Colorado Springs, Colorado on a firm fixed price basis. The original solicitation sought concepts for a content delivery network to provide data abstraction and caching capabilities at multiple security levels across ABMS environments. The CDN solution must be cloud agnostic, cache various data types, enable application awareness, include video streaming functions, and operate at classification levels up to Top Secret/SCI. The CDN must also provide web application firewalling, API acceleration, distributed denial-of-service protection, and ensure data provenance across ABMS networks. The Air Force aims to develop integrated command and control capabilities across all domains through the ABMS program to realize Joint All Domain Command and Control.
