The Department of the Air Force Materiel Command awarded an Indefinite Delivery Contract (IDC) to the University of Dayton Research Institute (UDRI) to provide finite element modeling and technical support services for F-35 wind tunnel models. The $749,999 single-award contract has a period of performance through May 2027.
Two task orders have been issued to date under this IDC. The first, valued at $124,996, is for finite element modeling and technical support services related to wind tunnel models for the F-35 Lightning II aircraft, to be performed in Dayton, OH through April 2023. The second, worth $187,021, is also for F-35 wind tunnel model finite element modeling and technical support services to support the Air Force's SEEK EAGLE Office, with a performance period through April 2024. Neither task order includes a small business set-aside. The original contract opportunity was issued by the Air Force Test Center via a Commercial Solutions Opening solicitation, seeking innovative commercial solutions to enhance or streamline mission capabilities.
