This federal contract IDV award to Ch2M Hill, Inc., a subsidiary of Jacobs Engineering Group Inc., aims to provide architect-engineer services to the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) for the Santa Susana Field Laboratory (SSFL) site. The $70 million single-award IDV contract, which has no set-aside designation, enables NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center to efficiently procure a variety of environmental assessment, remediation, and monitoring services to support the ongoing cleanup and redevelopment of the former rocket engine test site in West Hills, California.
Through a series of firm-fixed-price delivery orders issued against the IDV, Ch2M Hill is conducting activities such as groundwater monitoring and reporting, vapor intrusion studies, soil remedial design, in-situ bioremediation, and infrastructure maintenance to address contamination resulting from historical activities at SSFL. These services are critical for NASA to meet its environmental obligations under regulations like CERCLA and RCRA. The IDV has a base period from December 2017 through November 2022, allowing NASA to continue relying on Ch2M Hill's specialized environmental expertise to facilitate the long-term restoration and reuse of the SSFL property.
