The single award contract has a potential value of $400,000 and a period of performance through July 16, 2028. A firm fixed price delivery order for $63,504 was also issued for one year starting July 17, 2023 for GENMARK reagents to be utilized on the Government owned GenMark XT-8 analyzers located at the San Antonio Laboratory of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine Service. The original special notice indicated the VA's intent to sole source award to GenMark Diagnostics, Inc. for hepatitis C virus genotyping test kits and supplies required to perform molecular diagnostic testing on GenMark XT-8 analyzers at the South Texas Veterans Health Care System laboratory in San Antonio. As the only approved vendor able to provide all required supplies for this application, GenMark was identified as the only responsible source able to satisfy the VA's needs to maintain continuous laboratory operations and support of veterans' medical care.
