The U.S. Forest Service's Northern Region (Region 1) has awarded an indefinite delivery contract to Chestnut Ridge Forestry, a small veteran-owned business, for timber sales preparation services. The $3.75 million, single-award contract has a period of performance through September 21, 2025.
Under this IDIQ contract, Chestnut Ridge Forestry is performing a variety of forestry-related tasks such as boundary marking, tree marking, timber cruising, vegetation assessments, erosion control, and transportation services to support the Forest Service's management of National Forest lands in multiple states. Task orders issued to date total over $300,000 for work in Montana, New Mexico, and other locations within the Northern Region. While some orders have been set aside for small businesses, the majority have been unrestricted. Chestnut Ridge Forestry has extensive experience providing similar services to the Forest Service and other federal land management agencies under previous IDIQ and task order contracts.
