The Naval Air Systems Command intends to award a Basic Ordering Agreement to Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation as a sole source prime contractor to procure supplies and services in support of various United States Navy and Foreign Military Sales programs. The agreement will have a potential value of $1.15B over a five-year ordering period and allow for the issuance of orders related to aircraft including the C-2, E-2 Hawkeye, V-22 Osprey, Fire Scout, Broad Area Maritime Surveillance demonstrator, and Triton unmanned aircraft systems.
Specific delivery orders awarded against the BOA include $7.8M for E-2D modeling, $492k for BQM-34S maintenance and obsolescence management, $613M for E-2D integration work, $6.3M for MQ-8 Fire Scout components, and $96M to retrofit three MQ-4C Triton aircraft. Work will be performed by Northrop Grumman divisions in various locations including San Diego, Melbourne, and Lake Charles over periods ranging from one to five years. The Naval Air Systems Command utilizes these systems for maritime operations, so the contract aims to support ongoing programs through modeling, integration, logistics, and hardware efforts.
