The U.S. Air Force Materiel Command Aeronautical Systems Center has awarded a $100 million single-award Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) under the BIG SAFARI program to Remotely Piloted Solutions, L.L.C. (RPS Defense), a veteran-owned limited liability company and subsidiary of Mag DS Corp (doing business as Mag Aerospace). Through this BOA and related delivery orders, RPS Defense will provide the Aeronautical Systems Center with unmanned aerial systems (UAS), pilot services, sensor operation services, and associated support. RPS Defense has been a prime and subcontractor on numerous federal contracts with the Aeronautical Systems Center, which oversees the research, development, testing, evaluation, and acquisition of UAS and other aerospace systems for the Air Force. In addition to the BIG SAFARI BOA, RPS Defense also holds a spot on the $3.5 billion multiple-award ASTRO contract through the General Services Administration for platform-related services. The Aeronautical Systems Center has awarded several cost-plus-fixed-fee and firm-fixed-price delivery orders to RPS Defense valued up to $67 million to date under the BIG SAFARI program. The Aeronautical Systems Center, a defense agency within the Department of the Air Force Materiel Command, has awarded multiple delivery orders to RPS Defense for BIG SAFARI program support. These orders, which have a total ceiling value exceeding $100 million, task RPS Defense with providing UAS platforms, pilots, sensors, and maintenance services in support of the Air Force's UAS research, development, testing, evaluation, and acquisition efforts. The contracted work is performed at RPS Defense's facilities in Addison, Texas. As a veteran-owned small business and subsidiary of Mag Aerospace, RPS Defense has extensive experience as both a prime and subcontractor on similar defense programs involving unmanned and manned aerial systems.
