The United States Agency for International Development awarded multiple Basic Ordering Agreements to provide security investigation services. Up to 100 investigators, including Michael A. Jones doing business as MAJ Consulting, will conduct background investigations for employment under ordering maximums of $500,000 over five years. The purpose of the original solicitation was to contract a pool of qualified security investigators through BOAs to support USAID's needs. USAID sought proposals only from small businesses to conduct investigations and help vet agency personnel. Investigators will perform these services during the five year period of performance starting March 2021. USAID intends to obligate approximately $249,000 across all BOA holders to ensure it can reliably clear staff as international development work expands its operations and hiring. The multiple awards and annual funding will give USAID flexibility to task investigators as its background check volume fluctuates.
