- This Project Grant award from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Office of Research Infrastructure Programs (ORIP) under CFDA 93.351 provides $590,000 to the University of Miami to acquire a Leica Stellaris 5 upright confocal microscope for in vivo imaging applications. The new microscope will replace an obsolete, end-of-life Leica SP-5 confocal microscope and continue to provide high-resolution intravital confocal imaging capabilities to support the ongoing NIH-funded research of 9 major...
- This federal Project Grant award from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) under the Research Infrastructure Programs (CFDA 93.351) provides $942,983 to acquire a Bruker Luxendo TruLive3D light-sheet microscope system. The award, effective September 1, 2024 through August 31, 2025, will enable rapid 3D volumetric imaging of live specimens such as mouse, fly, and zebrafish embryos with high resolution and minimal phototoxicity. This advanced microscope system will benefit a user group of...
- This federal Project Grant award of $727,297.00 from the National Institute of General Medical Sciences (NIGMS) Biomedical Research and Research Training Program (CFDA 93.859) will fund the acquisition of a 3i Marianas super-resolution spinning disk confocal microscope at Colorado State University (CSU). This advanced microscope will enhance CSU's research capabilities in modern biological imaging across diverse model systems such as yeast, mammalian cell culture, organoids, tissue slices, C....
- The University of Michigan was awarded a $1.8 million project grant from the National Institutes of Health Office of the Director under the Research Infrastructure Programs federal grant program to purchase a Leica SP8 confocal microscope. The microscope will support over 30 investigators at the University engaged in diabetes, vision, and retinal research by replacing two aging microscopes in the university's shared imaging facility. The new microscope will provide high-speed resonant scanning...
- The National Institutes of Health (NIH) awarded a $749,854 Project Grant under the Research Infrastructure Programs (CFDA 93.351) to Albany Medical College to acquire an Olympus FVMPE-RS multiphoton microscope for intravital microscopy research. This specialized microscope will enable NIH-supported investigators at Albany Medical College and other nearby research institutions to conduct detailed mechanistic studies using mouse models of disease, covering a range of research areas including...
- This federal Project Grant award of $738,752 from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Office of Research Infrastructure Programs (CFDA 93.351) supports the acquisition of an Evident Scientific (Olympus) SPINSR super-resolution spinning disk confocal microscope. The microscope will be housed at the University of Colorado Boulder's Porter Biosciences Light Microscopy Core Facility, serving 15 major and minor users across 4 departments with 18 active NIH awards and 1 HHMI award. The new...
- This $635,689 Project Grant award from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) under the Research Infrastructure Programs (CFDA 93.351) will fund the acquisition of a ZEISS LSM 980 confocal microscope with Airyscan 2 technology for the Optical Imaging Core Facility (OIF) at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio (UTHSCSA). The new confocal microscope will replace obsolete equipment and provide critical advanced imaging capabilities to support over 80 NIH-funded...
This Project Grant award of $1,131,640 from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Office of Research Infrastructure Programs (CFDA 93.351) will fund the acquisition of a new high-end multimodal multiphoton fluorescence microscope, a Leica Stellaris 8 DIVE/FALCON system powered by Coherent's Chameleon Discovery NX laser. The new microscope will be operated and maintained by the Multi-Photon Microscopy Core at the Zilkha Neurogenetic Institute, Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California (USC). This advanced microscope system will provide deep imaging of intact living organs in vivo in small animals and of tissues ex vivo with ultra-high sensitivity, high spatial and temporal resolution, capabilities that are currently nonexistent at USC. The new microscope will support the research of 23 NIH-funded investigators across seven major user groups, including kidney, liver, stem cells, brain, vision science, cancer, and dental imaging, representing six USC schools/campuses. This award, with a performance period from September 2025 to August 2026, will enhance USC's biomedical research capabilities and maintain the only available core service for deep tissue intravital imaging at the university.
